I’m back! After a weird little sojourn to Oxford, England, I have returned to the San Francisco Bay Area, my (hopefully) permanent home.

My name is Hanah Zahner-Isenberg. I’ve always enjoyed cooking, but in the last few years, it’s become one of my great passions, thanks in part to reading many other food blogs and living in the land of Berkeley Bowl.

I also work as a theatrical stage manager, where the weird hours and eccentric personalities make the stress-relief of cooking even more of a necessity. There isn’t always a lot of overlap between my two passions, but I have learned that baking is a dependable way to keep actors happy.

(But also thrilled to see that you’re writing a food blog Ms Foodie – I hadn’t realized – how perfect for you – and what pleasurable reads!     Hanah –
    I was just reading along, enjoying your blog and the commentaries that went with the recipes – and then I saw the table cloth !
    It made me so happy to know that there’s a bit of the Greenwalds over there with you.

    I love your blog! Chris Zahner is a good friend. She raves about you all the time–I feel like I know you and Avi. I am inspired to start my own food blog, hope you don’t mind me copycatting. I’d love any advice you may have for me.
